At Ron Brooks Ilkeston we are passionate about getting involved with our local communities, as can be seen from our multiple sports partnerships and relationship with schools in the area to offer work experience.
This year is the 12th Edition of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest where children up to the age of 15 design a car and submit it to Toyota. It encourages children to express their creativity and imagination by drawing or painting their dream car. Whether it’s a ‘happy van’ telling jokes and sharing sweets, or a solar powered turtle car cleaning the land and sea of waste.
In conjunction with this, we will be choosing a winner from each of the four schools taking part. The schools which will be entering are: Stanley St Andrews C of E School, Stanley Common C of E School, Morley primary School and Mapperley C of E School. All of which are in and around Ilkeston. The winners will have their prizes presented to them at their school.
In previous years we have displayed winning entries around the showroom on plinths so that customers can admire them when looking for a new car or waiting for their service. We also decorated one of our cars with the winning design so that it can be seen being driven around Ilkeston.
Adam Lyons, Group HR Manager, had this to say: “We can’t wait to see what fun and creative ideas the children come up with. We’re sure it’s going to be very difficult to pick a winner from each school!”
