Ron Brooks Toyota Mansfield has taken on three new Trainee Customer Consultants as part of continued investment into apprenticeships.

India, 21, from Mansfield, Alex, 22 from Clipstone and Nikita, 26 from Forest Town have been accepted onto the programme, which is backed by the manufacturer. Training will take place at Toyota’s new state-of-the-art facility located within its flagship UK factory in Burnaston, Derby.

The scheme, which includes 9 modules over two years, aims to bring new and fresh talent into the Toyota brand, training them in customer service & communication skills as well learning the sales process. The trainees will initially work towards their Bronze accreditation, before moving through Silver and eventually graduate to Gold by the end of their second year.

Mike Lane, Centre Principal at Ron Brooks Mansfield, said:

“For many years we have successfully ran apprenticeship schemes for Vehicle Technicians and Parts Advisors, so it is with great pleasure we launch the Trainee Customer Consultant Programme with 3 young and passionate recruits.

“There’s a shortage of females in the motor retail industry and it’s refreshing to have such genuine enthusiasm shown by all three of them. In truth we weren’t looking for 3 recruits but such was the impression they made on us we made the decision to take them all on.

With the introduction of fantastic products such as the new C-HR and Yaris it’s an exciting time to join the Toyota brand”

The company also operates the training programme at its Ilkeston Toyota dealership, where Trainee Ben Edmonds has successfully completed his first full year’s training, joining the sales team full time.
