Congratulations to Suzuki GB, who have been named as the “Carmaker of the Year” for 2017 by Motor Trader Magazine.
The award, which was presented at a ceremony held in London and attended by over 1,000 guests, recognised Suzuki for supplying a great range of cars, a memorable marketing campaign and great reviews from dealer groups.
They were praised for their excellent range of small cars and compact SUVs, which Suzuki is known for worldwide and does so well. The heavily revised lineup now features 6 models, including the all-new Ignis and Swift which have both been launched this year, plus the Vitara SUV, SX4 S-Cross crossover, Celerio city car and Baleno hatchback.

The memorable marketing campaign, featuring unprecedented collaboration between Suzuki, ITV and of course Ant & Dec also factored into the judges’ thinking – a campaign which picked up the Car Dealer Magazine award for Best Marketing Initiative award back earlier this month.
Suzuki also consistently scores highly in the annual National Franchised Dealer Association survey, which seeks the opinions of motor dealers on their relationships with the manufacturer brands that they represent and work with. Largely this is down to the way Suzuki listens to their 160-strong dealer network, acting on feedback wherever possible.

The judging panel said: “Suzuki is particularly strong in the relationship they build with their retailers. They punch above their weight in marketing the brand and have delivered strong sales with a focused model range.”
