Staff Spotlight: Teresa Duzinkewycz

Each month we like to profile a different member of staff here at Ron Brooks, so that our customers can get to know the people who make Ron Brooks what it is as a business. This month it’s the turn of Teresa Duzinkewycz, who is a member of the Aftersales Team at Toyota Ilkeston.

Dealership: Toyota Ilkeston

Job role: MRS Administrator

Where are you from?

I was born in Nottingham, I moved up North to the Bolton area before moving back home to Notts.

What hobbies do you have?

I like listening music so I guess that’s my main hobby, I like going to concerts and festivals. I enjoy all sorts of music, I’ve been to V festival a few times and I really enjoy seeing new and upcoming bands.

What previous jobs have you had?

In the past used to run my own stationary supplies business, but I’ve also worked in sales, I’ve been on the road as a travelling sales person, and I’ve worked in the leisure industry as well. It’s a good collection of everything really.

When did you start working at Ron Brooks?

I started working at Ron Brooks in August this year, so I’ve been here around 3 months now.

What does an MRS Administrator do?

I am responsible for communicating with customers either via telephone or email to make sure that they remember to come in for services and MOTs. I’m also part of the main reception team.

How have you found life at Ron Brooks so far?

I really enjoy it, the people are nice, the customers are nice. Basically it’s just one of these things that I like – I like talking to people and being on the phone.

What’s your latest update?

Changing my job was the most recent major change. It’s been a positive change in my life as I no longer have to work unsociable hours which is much better for me.

What was your first car?

A ‘P’ reg old-style mini with no power steering, it was really hard to steer! It was a lovely car though, I loved it.

Do you get involved with any charities outside of work?

I am currently sponsoring a guide dog puppy through its training process, and I also do volunteer work with the elderly community.

What do you like most about your job?

I like it all really. I like the customers and the Service Team provide a nice environment to work in – Tom Tyler in particular likes to make me laugh, you never know what he’s going to say next!

If I asked your colleagues to describe you, what would they say?

I’d say that they would think I was a funny person, in a comical not weird sort of way (hopefully!).
