An Ilkeston based organisation which helps raise money for their local hospital was thrilled to receive a generous donation at Ron Brooks last week.
The League Of Friends group, which is one of Ron Brooks LTD’s chosen charities, arranges a number of fundraising activities throughout the year, with all proceeds going to Ilkeston community hospital.
The £1,000 donation, passed on by Enterprise Holdings on behalf of Ron Brooks, was handed over to Eileen Knight, the organisation’s President and Chairman, on Friday 14th December.
A spokesperson at Ron Brooks, said: “We are so pleased to present the cheque for £1,000 to the League of Friends.
“The hard work that they put in to raise money for their local hospital is truly inspiring, and we hope that the donation will help with their activities.”
Prem Singh chairman of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust said: “We are incredibly lucky to benefit from all the selfless hard work which our League of Friends colleagues contribute to improving the caring environment for patients.
“Their community-spirit, fundraising activities and sacrifice of both time and effort in so many ways make a big difference to our patients and our services.”
