What changes are being made?
Currently road tax is calculated based on the level of CO2 emissions your car emits. From April 1st, road tax will be a flat rate of £140 for all vehicles regardless of the CO2 emissions levels, with an additional surcharge of £310 for vehicles worth over £40,000. First year rate tax will continue to be calculated by CO2 emissions.
How will this impact me?
Road tax is paid out annually, and these changes will come into effect for each and every car registered after 1st April 2017. What models will be affected and by how much?
