Toyota have released a new video showing off the true capabilities of the 8th generation Hilux, which is available to order now with customer deliveries from 1st July 2016.
Set in the Carrara marble quarries, it features the all-new Hilux blasting up the side of a mountain on rough dirt tracks, which is known to be one of the most extreme landscapes in the world.
In the film, the Hilux is driven by well-known Russian stunt driver Martin Ivanov, who has had his talents featured in films such as Spectre, Fast and Furious 6, the Expendables 3 and Skyfall.
He receives a text from a friend (displayed on the crystal-clear Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system) warning of an impending storm. He subsequently puts his foot down and races up the side of the mountain along the narrow tracks, puts the basket from a hot air balloon in the back and heads back down the mountain.
The Hilux looks awesome in this setting, and though it will not necessarily be driven in this manner by our customers, Mr. Ivanov shows what the Hilux is truly capable off, if put to the test.
