An exciting day for the Toyota brand as the interior of the all-new Toyota C-HR crossover vehicle has been unveiled to the public for the first time.

Stylish, High-Quality Interior
Designed as something totally different in both the market and the Toyota line-up the C-HR needed an exquisite interior to match the magnificent exterior and Toyota have come up with the goods, partly in thanks to President Akio Toyoda’s vision of allowing “greater stylistic freedom” to the design gurus at the company.

The cool lines of the dashboard (which is slightly angled towards the driver) are accented by the piano black materials and the blue seamless layer of architecture that flows from the dashboard into the door panels and contrasts the sensual surfacing with sharp lines and creates a stylish and comfortable environment for the driver and passengers alike, especially when they’ll be sitting in seats that are wonderfully sculptured and totally different to anything else in the Toyota range.

There will be three interior choices when the C-HR goes on sale in September 2016, Dark Grey, Black/Blue and Black/Brown, depending on which specification and model grade is selected by the customer.
Equipment Levels
Toyota’s commitment to making every car as safe as possible means that Toyota Safety Sense (including pre-collision autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering control, auto high beam and road sign assist) comes as standard across the range.

Available on higher grades will be heated seats, smart (keyless) entry system, privacy glass, bespoke upholstery, intelligent park assist, 18-inch alloy wheels and bi-tone metallic paint. Full specifications and pricing for the UK market will be announced in the coming weeks.
Top-notch Sound System
Toyota partnered with JBL way back in 1996 and has been providing fantastic quality sound systems for Toyota’s high-end models since then.

Available as an option on new C-HR will be a tailor-made JBL premium audio system whcih is made up of 9 speakers powered by a 576-watt eight-channel amplifier for crisp, clear sound.
Toyota’s Latest Powertrains
The signature powertrain on the C-HR will be the recently launched 1.8-litre 120bhp petrol-electric hybrid system found in the all-new Prius. Co2 emissions will be as low as 85 g/km with exceptional fuel consumption as low as 76.3mpg, depending on the wheels that are chosen.

The other option for the C-HR will be a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which can be found in the Auris. It as 114bhp but the key figure is the 185Nm of torque which is able to push the car on at a fair pace, emitting on average 135 k/m of CO2. MPG figures for the 1.2 have not yet been released. This engine is able to be mated to a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox, with automatic versions also available with front or all wheel drive.
