New Proace Vans for Derby County FC

Derby County Football Club are due to take delivery of the two new Toyota PROACE vans, supplied by Ron Brooks Ilkeston.

These brand new vehicles will serve the football club as real workhorses, transporting the kits up and down the country to away games in the SkyBet Championship – though hopefully next season they’ll be visiting Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and The Emirates stadium if Derby manage to get promoted this season, which is entirely possible given their current standing in the League table.

Pictured here at the iPro stadium before the Derby County FC vs Bolton Wanderers FC game, which ended with a 4-1 victory to the home team, are two 2.0-litre Diesel long wheel-base hi-roof L2H2 vans that are more than just up for the job, as they love doing the hard-graft that other vehicles shy away from. The 163bhp diesel engines offer excellent levels of power and torque on the motorway runs, while achieving great fuel economy as they sit at 70mph at very low revs, using as little diesel as possible to get to their next destination. The livery will promote the Ron Brooks and Toyota brands while out and about on the road as well as at the DCFC training ground.

The vans have twin side sliding doors and twin wide-opening rear doors for easy access to the cargo bay. They are well specified with electric windows, power steering, steel bulkhead and air conditioning as standard. The previous Kit Vans will now come into Ron Brooks Ilkeston stock ready for sale as used vehicles.

As you may well be aware, there is a new 2016 Toyota PROACE van launching at the Commercial Vehicle show on April 26th this year, and these latest DCFC vans are amongst the last current-shape PROACEs to be registered as new vehicles in the UK, with production due to end very soon and work on building the new vans to start.
