The new 2017 model year Toyota RAV4 has been announced by Toyota GB. Headline facts include:
Toyota Safety Sense standard on all RAV4 grades apart from entry-level Active
Satellite navigation (Toyota Touch with Go) now standard on Excel, Icon, Business Edition and Business Edition Plus grades
New Premium pack (available on Excel models) includes foot sensor-operated electric rear door, sun roof, blind spot monitor and RCTA (rear cross traffic alert)
Business Edition Plus model now available with diesel powertrain
Two new colour choices with “full body” paint cost option

Toyota Safety Sense is now standard
The Toyota Safety Sense package, first seen on Auris and Avensis and has since spread across the range, is included on all models (apart from Active, where it is a £1,060 option). This suite of active and passive safety technologies includes Adaptive cruise control, Lane departure alert, Automatic high beam, Road sign assist and a pre-collision system. As well as the obvious benefits to driver and passenger safety, insurance premiums are often lower because the RAV4 with Toyota Safety Sense is up to 6 insurance groups lower than before.
New RAV4 Icon with Full Body Colour Option
Increased Specification
As well as Toyota Safety Sense, Business Edition, Business Edition Plus, Icon and Excel models all feature Toyota Touch with Go Satellite Navigation as standard, as well as front and rear parking sensors and ambient footwell lighting. The sat nav also comes with 3 years’ free map updates. Excel models get voice recognition and 3D maps included in the package.
Excel grades get a new black roof lining (grey if specified with sunroof) and a memory function for the electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
New Premium Pack
Available only on Excel grades, the new Premium Pack (cost option) offers a hands-free electric tailgate that is operated using a foot-sensor underneath the rear bumper – very useful when you want to open the boot but your hands a full! Also included in the Premium Pack is a sunroof, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a Blind Spot Monitor.

The 2017 RAV4 is available to view at Ron Brooks in Ilkeston and Mansfield now and is on sale with prices from £23,755. It is of course available with Petrol, Diesel and Petrol/Electric hybrid drivetrains.
