Is it a Bee? Is it a Wasp? No, it’s the new AYGO! Toyota have today unveiled the 2016 version of the popular AYGO x-cite model, complete with excellent bright yellow paintwork just in time for Summer!
Yellow Fizz, in case you were wondering. That’s the name of the brilliant body colour of the new AYGO x-cite. The contrasting black roof and pillars set off a Bi-Tone exterior that is sure to stand out on British roads. Also finished in gloss black are the standard 15″ twin-spoke alloy wheels, electric door mirrors, front “X” and rear bumper insert to complete the “waspish” exterior.

The black and yellow (black and yellow black and yellow) theme continues on the inside of the x-cite, with the Yellow Fizz colour being used for the seat side bolsters, door panel inserts, gearshift lever, and the air vent surrounds as well as the carpet mats (just the edges, not the whole mat, fortunately). Bold Black inserts feature on the instrument panel, gear lever surround and centre console. Chrome-finished door handles complete the up-market interior.

AYGO x-cite Interior
Standard specification on the Yellow Fizz AYGO x-cite includes air conditioning, Bluetooth/Aux/USB connectivity, full-colour x-touch multimedia system, DAB digital radio, MirrorLink Smartphone compatibility, split-folding rear seats, projector headlights with LED tracers, front fog lights and leather trimmed steereing wheel and gear knob trim.

Engines and gearboxes remian the same as in all other new AYGOs, that means a peppy 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol unit with either a 5-speed manual or x-shift automated transmission that achieve 68.9 and 67.3mpg respectively on the combined fuel consumption cycle. Emissions are 95-97 g/km so road fund licence is £0 currently.

This brand new addition to the AYGO range will go on sale in July 2016, so ‘bee’ sure to pop down to your local Ron Brooks Toyota dealership in Ilkeston or Mansfield to see it for yourself! Prices will be announced nearer to the launch-date.
