The new Suzuki SX4 S-Cross has undergone a major facelift, ready for sale in October 2016. The bold new front end certainly gives a beefier appearance to the SX4 S-Cross, which was the first C-segment crossover from Suzuki when it went on sale in 2013. 3 years later the entire range has been revised with new engines and specifications that enhances customer choice. The vehicle also has higher ground clearance than the previous model at 180mm (+15mm).

The improved engine line-up consists of 1.0-litre and 1.4-litre boosterjet engines, first seen in the Baleno and Vitara S earlier this year. Both engines have received praise for their character, and for managing to provide ample power and torque throughout the rev range whilst maintaining excellent levels of fuel economy.
The 1.0-litre turbocharged boosterjet petrol has a power and torque output of 111PS and 170Nm respectively, compared with 140PS and 220Nm from the 1.4-litre boosterjet. Emissions are rated at 113 g/km for the 2WD and 127 g/km. The 1.6-litre DDiS diesel engine remains and offers exceptional fuel consumption of 68.8mpg combined and low CO2 emissions of 106 g/km.

The range, which starts from £14,999 for the SZ4 1.0-litre petrol manual, is made up of two other trim levels including SZ-T and top-of-the-range SZ5. Both 2WD and 4WD, as well as manual and automatic versions are available.
All models come with seven airbags, daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, heated and electric door mirrors, cruise control and black protective skid plates with black wheel arch extensions.
SZ-T models, from £19,499, add satellite navigation, silver roof rails, front fog lamps, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rear privacy glass, leather steering wheel, keyless entry & start, 2-position reclining seat, rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, auto headlights & wipers, LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lights and an auto dimming rear view mirror.
Top spec SZ5 models get heated leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, radar brake support and adaptive cruise control, included in a package which starts from £22,849. All SZ5 models feature Suzuki’s ALLGRIP 4WD technology.
