Mansfield’s Showroom Bikeathon to Skegness

Following on from Ian’s efforts on Wednesday, four Team Members from Ron Brooks Mansfield have today (Red Nose Day) completed an incredible 80 mile showroom Bikeathon, cycling from Mansfield to Skegness (via Sleaford and Boston) on four exercise bikes, kindly donated for the day by Oak Tree Leisure Centre.

Mark Comes Home in First Place

After a mere 4 hours and 30 minutes, it was Mark Hicklin who completed the arduous 80 miles first, followed by Mike who took just over 5 hours. Jake and Alex came home soon afterwards, the look of relief on their faces apparent as they realised they could stop pedalling!

In total they’ve managed to raise over £150 today for Comic Relief 2015, bringing Ron Brooks even closer to their £10,000 target. The money raised makes a difference all over the world, including funding projects here in the UK.

We’d like to congratulate Mark, Mike Jake and Alex for their efforts today and thank everyone for their donations! One final thank you goes to Oak Tree Leisure Centre in Mansfield, who very kindly let us borrow four of their exercise bikes for the event.
