We are delighted to be taking part in the 2016 Ilkeston Classic Car Show, occupying our usual position on the Market Place with a new car display on Sunday 14th of August.
Last year the event was huge success again, with hundreds of cars shown off around Ilkeston town centre by their understandably proud owners. There were some wonderful cars on display from the 1980s, 70s, 60s and even older than that. Indeed, the prize for “Best in Show”, which is sponsored by Ron Brooks, chosen by Paul Stephenson and presented by our Managing Director, Kevin Slack, was a 1954 Ford Popular which was in absolutely fantastic condition.
On our stand this year will be the best-selling AYGO and the all-new 2016 8th generation Hilux, which will be partnered by a 5th generation 1988 version, owned by Ian Viles, Chief Executive of local business group the Erewash Partnership.
At least 200 cars are expected to turn out on the day and the weather is looking good at the moment which is an added bonus!
